Start with the university name exactly as written on the offer letter. Then compare that name against government, accreditation, professional licensing and university-owned pages. If an agent uses a slightly different name, promises guaranteed jobs, or avoids giving written answers, slow down before sending money.

For branch campuses and pathway providers, confirm whether the final degree is issued by the overseas university, the local campus, or a partner college. This affects recognition, transfer options, employer perception and sometimes visa logic.
