Terms of use
What this site is, what our guidance is and is not, and the limits of what we can promise you.

What this site is
UniversitySwitch publishes guidance for international students choosing, switching or transferring universities, and offers a free consultation over WhatsApp. Using the site means you accept these terms.
Guidance, not advice
This is the most important thing on this page. Everything we publish is general information to help you make your own decision. It is not legal advice, immigration advice, or financial advice, and we are not a licensed immigration adviser or financial adviser.
Admissions, visa, recognition and credit-transfer decisions are made by universities and government authorities, never by us. Rules change frequently and outcomes depend on your individual profile. Always confirm anything that matters against the official source — our recognition tool links to the government register for each country precisely so you can do that.
Accuracy
We work to keep guides correct and we date them, but we cannot guarantee that every figure, fee or rule is current at the moment you read it. Tuition, living costs, visa fees and work-rights rules change without notice. Where a page carries a year, treat it as the period the research covered, not a promise about today.
If you find something wrong, tell us at info@universityswitch.com and we will correct it.
Our tools
The calculators and checkers on this site are planning aids. They produce an indication based on what you enter, not a decision or a prediction. The recognition checker points you at official registers; it does not itself verify any institution, and a result from it is never confirmation that a university is genuine.
How we work and how we are paid
Four commitments govern everything on this site. They used to appear as a strip on some pages and not others; they belong here, where they apply to all of it.
Written and reviewed by a named person. Our guides are drafted with AI assistance from our own research and from what students actually search for, and Rahul A reviews each one before it is published. Every article carries the author and its published and reviewed dates at the end of the page. Pages that are indexes or link lists carry no such claim, because nobody wrote them in that sense.
Official registers are named before opinions. Where recognition, visa or work rules are involved, we name the authority that decides — the register, the department, the published rule — and link it, so you can check us rather than trust us.
Free for students; some partner universities pay us referral commissions. You are never charged. We may be paid by a partner institution if you enrol through us, we will tell you when that applies, and it does not change what we tell you about whether an institution suits you. This is set out in full under how we are paid.
No visa, job or PR guarantees. We do not promise an admission, a visa, a job or permanent residence, and we will not work with anyone who does. Those decisions belong to universities and governments.
Free consultation
The consultation is free and carries no obligation. We will tell you what we think is realistic for your profile, including when we think a plan will not work. We aim to reply quickly but we do not guarantee a response time, and we may decline to advise on a situation outside what we know well.
We may be paid a referral commission by a partner institution if you enrol through us. We will tell you when that applies. It does not change our assessment of whether an institution is right for you.
Enrolment cashback
The cashback offer has its own conditions set out on the cashback page. Applications are reviewed individually, eligibility is at our discretion, and applying does not guarantee payment. We will tell you the outcome either way.
Third-party links
We link to government registers, universities and other external sites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or accuracy. A link is not an endorsement, except where we say plainly that a source is the official authority for a country.
Your responsibilities
Give us accurate information if you want useful guidance. Do not use this site to send unlawful, abusive or misleading content. Do not copy substantial parts of our guides for republication without permission — the content on this site is ours.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from decisions you make based on this site, including application fees, deposits, tuition, travel costs or a refused visa. Nothing here limits liability for fraud or for anything that cannot lawfully be excluded.
