Check a university is officially recognised
Pick the country and get the official government register for it, what to search for, and what it means if the university is not listed. Then run the offer through the warning-sign check.
What this tool does. It points you at the official register that can answer your question and tells you how to read it. It does not check the university for you, and it is not a substitute for the register itself. Only the listed authority can confirm recognition.
Find the official register
Choose where the university says it is based. If it is a branch campus, check both the campus country and the home country of the awarding university.
Check the warning signs
Tick anything that matches your situation. These are the patterns that show up again and again in fake-university and fake-agent cases.
Not listed, or still not sure?
Send us the offer letter and the university name. We will tell you what the register actually says about it, and what your options are if it does not check out. Free, and we will say so plainly if something looks wrong.
